PLA (PolyLactic Acid)
It is a polyester derived from renewable and organic sources, and is biodegradable and more environmentally friendly as it does not use fossil fuels as a base.
This material has been used in transport packaging, textiles and, more recently, as an engineering plastic.
It has similar characteristics to Polypropylene (PP), Polyethylene (PE) and Polystyrene (PS).
