Carlos Simões:
Born in Lisbon, he has always lived in Odivelas. He is 46 years old and has a Bachelor's degree and a Licence in Mechanical Engineering (pre-Bologna). He was a research fellow at ISEL/IPL in 2004, in the area of composite materials with high mechanical performance, and taught Computer Aided Design, Technical Drawing, Composite Materials and Mechanical Design at ISEL's Mechanical Engineering Department from 2005 to 2015.
He has also been a trainer at CENFIM Lisbon and Torres Vedras, a Tooling Engineer at Manuel Conceição da Graça (Carrregado) and a Designer at Apametal. An entrepreneur during the COVID pandemic, he created the company Adv3DPrint in June 2021, with the main aim of providing engineering and 3D printing services in composite materials, especially to industrial companies.
